The worker working under the
operational manager in a Multinational company have boycotted to work due to
rigid working hours and inadequate compensation. Eventually a conflict arises,
that needs immediate attention.
Q No.1 As a
communication manager, which of the following strategy you will adopt to
resolve the issue and why? Also mention the step by step process toward the
final solution of the conflict.

STRATEGY USED TO RESOLVE THE CONFLIC:
As
per given scenario in the assignment, there are two strategies that are required
to be implemented and these strategies are collaborating strategy and compromising strategy
because collaborating strategy will be implemented to discover a resourceful,
practical and acceptable method of
solving problem to everyone in the organization and compromising strategy will
be applied to appeals for both edges of a conflict to give up fundamentals of
their situation in order to establish an satisfactory solution of problem, every
party stands to lose something valuable and to compromise with each other on
behalf of something give and take oriented policy.
STEP BY STEP PROCESS TO SOLVE THE
CONFLICT
How to
prepare:
There are four stages required to be applied before entering
and undertaking into a conflict to assist you positively decide upon the
conflict.
1st
Step: Comprehend your feelings and try to
realize what your conflict inclinations are, what elicits you expressively, and
what your reactions are towards the existing conflict.
2nd
Step: Evaluate your expectations related
to intent. What are you presumptuous regarding the other individual, yourself
or the conflict that you don’t really identify is factual? Be conscious of
these and what do you undertake is right which you don’t distinguish as reality?
3rd
Step: Place yourself in others’ position.
Stab to apprehend what the other person is sophisticating or feeling. Don’t create
suppositions about them; fairly become inquisitive regarding what they might be
thinking. Observe your own response towards this and feel compassion for them.
Identify there points and try to have better comprehension that what might be
more significant for them.
4th
Step: Recognize your comfort, benefits
and welfare. What is vital and imperative to you? What would be an effective consequences
look like toward you?

Subsequently organize yourself; the further stage is
to involve in the conflict. When you participate in conflict you must remember
the following important points.
Vital Communication Skills: Heed and concede everyone. Provide
chance to each group to express their problems and issues. Pinpoint comforts, necessities
and urgencies. Inquire open-ended questions to review and explain. Compose yourself
as impersonal as possible. Accept feelings relatively instead of reacting to
them.
Simplify Contracts, Alterations and Choices: Gaze for extents of contract and simplify
extents of alteration. Brainwave choices for determination and shared improvement.
Define Objective Principles: During this process you have three points
to inquire. In what way will you distinguish when the conflict is settled? By
what mean you identify that it’s waiting resolved? Who will document agreement
and by when?

TO WORK DUE TO
RIGID WORKING HOURS AND
INADEQUATE COMPANSATIONS
It is
apprised that our company have boycotted to work on 30 April 2017 due to rigid
working hours and inadequate compensations. All the worker are demanding to
reduce the working hours and demanding the more facilities and compensation in
shape of extra bonus and increase of salary. They are protesting to fulfill
their demands otherwise they will keep continue their strike including boycott
of work. They demanded proper medical treatment facilities for them including
their families and children and also demanded proper transportation facilities
from their residence to workplaces.
Conflict
was rise due to rigid and extra working hour without giving overtime payment
including less compensation. Moreover, company has not paid the salaries to
workers in time since two months. Last bonus is also outstanding. It is
urgently and critically required to pay the salaries of workers and outstanding
bonuses. Company staff is very loyal to the company and company production was
outstanding due to hard work of the workers and if the rising conflict will not
be tried to resolve, it will convert to major loss of the company. Moreover, at this time it is urgently required
to fulfill the demands and requirements of the workers to run the company
smoothly.
It
is, therefore, request to do the needful and take further necessary action to
resolve this conflict so that the workers announce to finish the strike and
become agreed to start the work in company.
